Mixing Fabrics of Different Colors, Weights and Textures!
This issue of “Imagine the Possibilities…” is all about mixing and matching! We’ve chosen a few examples of patterns where two fabrics may be paired together to create a unique look. Enjoy!
Pairing Habotai – Navy with Silver Moon
Recreate Vogue dress pattern V1565 using the Habotai – Navy silk fabric for the capped sleeves and the Silver Moon cotton / metallic brocade for the dress!
Applying the Silver Moon fabric for the dress while using the Habotai – Navy silk for the upper chest and the skirt ruffles using Vogue dress pattern V1393 is another great option!

This beautiful dress pattern may be easily applied to create a stunning special occasion dress mixing any of two of the suggested fabric pairs of different weight and texture!

Pairing SilkFlex – Red with Rubies
You may prefer to apply the SilkFlex – Red silk fabric for the capped sleeves and the Rubies cotton brocade for the dress in Vogue pattern V1565.
The Rubies cotton brocade may be used for the main section of the dress in Vogue pattern V1393 with the SilkFlex – Red silk fabric applied to the top section and the skirt ruffles.
