This fabric is luxurious and opulent shot silk shantung in garnet red color (slightly darker than Pantone® 18-1643 TPG Cardinal, 17-1446 Mango, 19-2045 Vivacious). This fabric is made with 2 colors of threads, mango and fuchsia, and this gives it color depth and unique character. This shantung is medium weight (for a shantung) at 21 mm (91 gsm or 2.7 oz). It has smooth hand with hardly any slubs, and crisp drape. The drape is very typical for shantung and dupioni and lends itself to lightweight structured garments and sculpted pleats.
