Storm System Wool – Indigo Blue

This luxurious fabric is an innovative new product that is too exciting to pass up! The top side of the fabric is a lightweight knit in antique indigo blue color (Pantone® 19-4108 Sea Storm) made with a sustainably produced merino wool treated with the patented Storm System® specially developed for Lor0 Piana. The Storm System® creates a protective barrier around wool fibers making them water resistant and enhancing impermeability to dust, dirt, and liquid stains. You can see the fabric photos with water droplets beading on the fabric. The underside of the fabric is a whisper-weight hydrophilic polyurethane membrane. This membrane is both water and wind resistant. It is also breathable and moisture wicking, which helps to maintain a very comfortable body temperature. This fabric is created for comfort! Last, but not least, this fabric is recyclable. The fabric is lightweight at 167 gsm (4.9 oz). The weight feels somewhat like a firmly woven poplin. This fabric has a stable 20% two-way stretch. It has a smooth hand and fine full drape. It’s suitable for raincoats, windbreakers, light and flexible outerwear, light pull-on or zip-front athletic wear. Wool/Polyurethane Membrane. 51” Wide.
