Description
Exhalation valve for use in homemade fabric face masks. Comprised of three parts: a plastic base, an inner flexible disk, and a plastic cap. Made of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic. Available in Black and White.
Dimensions: 1 3/8 inch diameter. Requires a 0.8 inch diameter circular cut out for mounting. The inner disk may be used as a template for cutting out the fabric prior to installation. Reduce the circle diameter by 1/16 inch prior to cutting.
Wash fabric face masks with exhalation valves in cold or lukewarm water and hang to dry.

Note: Masks that have an exhalation valve are designed for the comfort of the wearer. Exhalation valves help reduce breathing resistance when the wearer exhales (breathes out). These are one-way valves that open only when the wearer exhales. Properly fitted face masks that have an exhalation valve protects the wearer from particles entering the wearer’s breathing zone, but does not protect people, other than the wearer, who are not wearing any type of face mask.
