Owner, Fabric Specialist
Faten learned to sew upon graduating from college (some 30 years ago) with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Architecture. She loved to dress up and found it very hard to get well made and high quality fashionable ready to wear clothes that fit her very petite silhouette. She made all of her professional clothes, often modifying patterns to create original designs. She had a passion for high quality silk, wool, cotton and linen. After a long and successful career in high tech and prior to acquiring Sawyer Brook, she managed a small on-line retail store where she marketed and sold her own designs of unique skirts. All products were manufactured at her workshop in Massachusetts using high quality fabrics.
She loves to assist and answer any questions you have about our products and services. If you call sawyer brook, you are most likely to get her on the phone.
Matilda has been modeling Sawyer Brook’s distinctive fabrics for quite some time now. She has mastered several draping techniques and ways to inspire your next projects.
Matilda is also available for any local members to stop in and have their finished pieces photographed. Learn more about her schedule and availability on our warehouse section.
Our Proprietary Back-End Software
Designed and Developed specifically for Sawyer Brook, Su-su is the name of our intelligent software that manages all the digital content of Sawyer Brook and helps you find the fabrics you are looking for. From posting products, to recommending fabrics to our individual members, to sorting fabrics by color, material, and use recommendations, and even making sure our website shows up properly on all your electronic devices. A lot of the work that Su-su performs helps keep Sawyer Brook’s online presence easier to manage, and helps to keep our operating costs low.
Inventory Control & Content Manager
Reem carries several responsibilities that help keep Sawyer Brook a well-oiled machine. When she’s not counting buttons, Reem is busy drafting and finalizing our print, web, and social media content. She has a keen eye to catch all of Sawyer Brook’s spelling errors and inconsistencies.
She is also responsible for organizing our product libraries and keeping our membership, inventory, and finances up to date.
Marketing, Design, & Development
Belal brings to Sawyer Brook his 10 years of experience as a multi-disciplined Artist who is capable of managing several different parts of what make up the customer experience of Sawyer Brook’s online store as well as it’s warehouse location in Massachusetts. He is our final pair of eyes before anything is published or sent out for printing. If you like what you see, you can thank him for the presentation.
As a special note, he is the first male to work in our warehouse in nearly two-decades! It’s nice to have somebody to help around with all the heavy-lifting!
