Sew in Fashion: Paisleys

Paisley is a controversial pattern...love it or hate it! But it doesn't have to be such a terse distinction. The wonderful aspect of a classic motif is that it can be interpreted in so many different ways. Paisley is every where in ready-to-wear this season. You'll see it in prints on cotton, silk, rayon, linen and synthetics. You'll see it in embroideries and jacquard weaves. The curling, curvy motifs can be bold or subtle, rendered in colorful contrast, or tone-on-tone and finally elongated or twisted to tweak the classic look. Is anyone using paisley right now? What creative tweaks have you used to incorporate it into your wardrobe?
