Thought I'd post a few bits of information I've gleaned from travelling around various sewing lists.
There's a new book coming out about Liberty of London. I've already pre-ordered it at Amazon. Written by the archivist for the company it covers the decades of the Fifties and Sixties. I'll be sure to post when I've had a chance to read it!

Here's a great article about Claire Shaeffer Palm Springs Life You'll love reading about her career in researching haute couture, especially Coco Chanel and Yves St. Laurent. She's one of our favs!

If millinary is your esthetic, you'll find this fascinating. A Milliner's Tale. Found it on Fashion-Incubator, which is always full of great info and tidbits.

Here's an interesting discussion on sewing your own wardrobe from Jennifer Skinner's The Very Small Closet
and a review of Clinton Kelley's style book from Jennifer, who by the way is a wardrobe planner. Freakin' Fabulous. Doesn't grab me, but I'd page through it if I found it on a table!

And finally, a video from CNN World touting a resurgence in sewing interest. This was sent to us by Original Sewing and Quilt Expo.
