Sports Coat Measurement

Hello:

Please pardon me if this is online for a 3rd time as this is the only the 2nd time I've written a question.

My 16 yr old son needs a new sports coat as his present one is a bit snug under the armpits. His present coat measures (if i did this correctly)

20" at the chest - armpit to armpit seam
29" length
24-1/2" sleeves
16" shoulders - across back sleeve seam
height is 5'7-1/2"

My son's measurements are: 28" waist; 30/31" chest; arm length is 24"; back from edge of armpit to armpit is around 13 or 14 "(if I did this correctly)

I'm not looking for an exact fit as this is for school and his jacket will take a beating. I can get some coats on-line at a real cheap price.

What size would you recommend?
