There's no reason that the garment design always needs to determine the button choice! How about letting the button direct your design? I've always said this when we have people who fall in love with a button and then say, but I don't have anything to put it on.
Well, today we had a fun experience with a customer who had a linen suit in mind. She had requested a best match of 11 buttons in matching color to Halcyon. Because of the number of buttons, she had asked us to try to keep the price down. She had also asked that the buttons be elegantly stylish. Well, this was a tall order. We couldn't match her size specifications so we contacted her with a picture of the fabric and two button selections that Dixie had made. She fell in love with the one button that we liked too-- Tutu
What I loved about this experience was that she loved the button so much, she changed her plan! She ordered 5 larger buttons. We can't wait to see a pic of the finished product! What a great choice she made to let the button influence her end design!! Sometimes it just all comes together differently than your first vision.
