This is a new project I recently finished. I used this fabric for the main skirt and used a solid black for the under skirt with a ruffle. I sewed black sequins to the bottom of the ruffle and scattered black sequins and beads throughout the print for accent. My granddaughter loved her new skirt and received a lot of compliments when she wore it.

That skirt looks fabulous on her! I like the scattered beads and sequins- they really make the print pop!
Do you teach her to sew? If she enjoys that skirt so much then you should! Our sew4u projects, on the Sawyer Brook website, are things I think she'd enjoy. And she should check out our new teen forum, Talk2sew!

Love the skirt! So current and a great use of embellishments! I think Zigzagger has a thought there! Does your granddaughter sew?

| What a fabulous skirt! I've got a niece who would also love wearing that skirt. That's what I love about this community - such inspiration and ideas I had not thought of! Thanks for sharing.

| Margie, I love the skirt. I was picturing a top out of this fabric, but your skirt looks fabulous. Thank you for sharing.

| I just saw the picture of that adorable skirt. I have three teenage granddaughters each of whom would love to wear it. How creative, I wish I had thought of it.
