Hello:
I'm new at this and I don't know if this is the right area to post my question.
I have a sleevless shirt that's a washable linen and it's lined. It's a bit big on me and I need to get it altered.
Does anyone know of someone within my area who could fix this shirt for me as I have troubled altering.
Thank you.

| Hi lovestosew, welcome to the forums! We do need a place for more general sewing-related questions. For now, I'm putting it in "Your Vision" so that more sewers will see it.

Hi - I don't live in your area, however I believe you will get several recommendations soon. Some of the ladies who work at Sawyer Brook know of tailors and alterations experts. But I think they are at the Worcester Sewing Expo this weekend so stay tuned. I'm sure info will be coming your way in a couple of days.

Hi -
I'd be happy to help you find someone to alter your garment. I'm a member of PACC, the Professional Association of Custom Clothiers, and we have several members not far away from you. You can access our referral list at paccprofessionals.org and call one of us directly, but I'll be happy to refer you to someone if you'd like.
