Hi Everyone
I'm so bored with patterns--even Vogue has become ho-hum. I was recently looking at Marfy patterns, and they look great--on paper.
Has anyone had any experience working with them? I'm a seasoned sewer, but not a "tailor"

Hi Jeanne - I have several friends who have used Marfy and like them a lot. The fit is not over-sized, and the pieces went together perfectly. They are drafted very well. I have a few Marfy patterns, but haven't made them yet. I bought a few of their catalogs which include two or three patterns inside. So I'm going to begin with them to test the fit etc. If you decide to give them a try please let me know. Maybe we can do it in tandem and compare notes.
Keep in mind Marfy are not multi-sized. We are used to having multi-sizes to grade from one size on the top to another size on the bottom. But I think I know enough to make those changes to the Marfy. Second, Marfy does not come with instructions. My friends used a instruction sheet from a pattern in their stash for a similar garment as a guide. Marfy patterns include several languages and luckily one is English so you'll be able to read the comments about ease, grain, etc.
