Hi All
Just wanted to remind everyone to read up on heart disease. I know this doesn't pertain directly to sewing, but our hobbies will be left behind if we don't take care of our health! Heart disease isn't just for men, it's the number one cause of death for both men and women.
Here's a book I read a few years ago which changed the way I think about heart attacks and heart disease. It's a quick read with lots of valuable information.
Take it to Heart
Pamela Serure
Here’s a quick review…take it for what it’s worth!
· Focused totally on women’s heart issues
· Focused on young women who developed heart disease in the prime of life
· Excellent reading if you know someone who has had or is facing open-heart surgery
· Lots of lifestyle advice—nothing new here.
· Raises awareness of heart disease as a syndrome rather than heart attack as an event—a differentiation I had failed to make.
· Quick read if the subject interests you.

| I also read this book and found it very eye opening. Lots of good info presented in an easy to understand fashion. We need to care for ourselves and the author delivers this message by explaining what happened in her own life. I remember hearing an interview with her, when she said she believes she survived her heart attack so that she can educate women. I recommend reading the book.
