Forum Etiquette -- Please read before posting

The Savvy Sewer Salon is a place for friendly conversation about the things we love: fabric, fashion, and sewing! Please be courteous to your fellow posters and keep the following etiquette guidelines in mind.

Etiquette Guidelines

All discussion should be respectful and friendly. Our moderators will edit or remove any posts with crass language or offensive material.
Posts should be relevant to the forum category. There is a description for each forum on the main page so that people can find discussions about interests they share with others. When posting, please make sure that you select the appropriate forum for the topic you want to discuss and confine the subject matter of your posts to topics related to that forum.
Posts should be written in easily readable style. We encourage posters to observe moderation in the use of capital letters (all caps are considered SHOUTING), font sizes and colors.
Spam and marketing attempts for other companies are not allowed. At their discretion, our moderators will delete any post aimed at advertising, recruiting or solicitation. We welcome discussion of products from our own offerings and of related products of a general nature (kinds of fabric, patterns, the work of fashion designers, etc.), but please refrain from advertising specific outside retailers. If you have a question on acceptability, please feel free to contact the moderator for the forum.
Be aware of copyrights. If you attach or insert (with BBCode) an image into a post, be sure that you either own or have permission to use that image. Images from other websites likely have copyright protections that you need to respect. Our moderators will remove any images that violate copyright restrictions. You may insert images found on the Sawyer Brook website (for example, a picture of one of our fabrics or buttons) into your posts here, but this permission extends only to usage of these images in the Savvy Sewer Salon.

These guidelines are simply common sense and common courtesy. We aim to create a lively and comfortable environment for everyone who shares our love of fabric, fashion and sewing!
