Well, we're still seeing lots and lots of metallic. It's toned down a bit this season which makes it more approachable for most of us. You can choose fabric with just a hint of lurex or choose fabrics that are colored in metallic tones. See Sew inFashion.
Although the metallic trend will soften for Spring 2008, it will not disappear. Our Celebutante cotton laminates are perfect for going forward to the softer look. Remember our European goods are often a year ahead of fashion trends here in the States. Make this trend yours by choosing your fabric jacket pattern! Who's sewing out there?

Barb,
I am buying faster than I am sewing I purchased the Celebutante and it's almost too nice to sew. It is hard to believe it's 100% cotton. Fascinating fabric.
I am not fashion forward enough to use it for jeans. I am envisioning a jacket. I don't know the details yet. It needs to be structured I think. Maybe a biker jacket?
