I'm making some shirts (classic men's dress) for a friend of mine.
I just know that one day, he'll wash them in warm water, normal cycle. BUT: Pretty much all good shirting fabric is care code "C" or cold/cold/delicate cycle.
So I'm considering beating him to the punch & pre-washing the fabric in a warm/cold/regular cycle. Then throwing it into the drier. Basically: I thought I should beat the fabric up at least once before I sew with it... .
Yes, I do pre-wash my interfacings.
Is this a crazy idea? I love him dearly, but the concept of cold/cold/delicate is a bit (sigh) foreign to him....!
Thanks.
